Factory Resetting IP Desk Phones

Factory Resetting IP Phone for various reasons...

For the most part - you will never need to Factory Reset your IP phone, once it's been configured from your main PBX Phone System.

There are some reasons listed at the end of this article exampling why you may be instructed to 'Factory Reset' your desk phone.

Important: Do NOT "Factory Reset" your phone unless directed.

Accessing 'FACTORY RESET' function from the menu options

Simply press the Middle Round MENU Key button inside the arrow navigation keys. Then scroll right until you see:

'SYSTEM' - highlight it and press the Round Menu Button Again to enter the sub-menu. Then scroll up (faster to access this option) - or down and highlight the 'FACTORY RESET' item in that sub-menu.

Press the main round Menu Button again and the option to select "YES" will appear. Select "YES' from the bottom screen button to proceed. The phone will then reset and reboot. 

Reasons to reboot

  • Our support has instructed you to do so.
  • The phone requires a factory reset to be used for another purpose.
  • Some phone firmware updates may require a factory reset.
  • Some main PBX System box changes may require a full factory reset on some phones, so they re-download a 'full and new configuration file'.
